WORKSHOP CONTROLLER
Activate Accident Repair – Bristol

Hours: 45 hours per week
Reports to: Bodyshop Manager
£5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS – paid in full on successful completion of your probation period
We're looking for a Workshop Controller to play a key role at Activate Accident Repair Bristol, ensuring repairs are carried out effectively and accurately to achieve the highest possible standards of technical quality within the bodyshop.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Implementing the operational workshop loading system in line with company policy and procedures, making sure targets and deadlines are met or addressed
- Liaising with office logistics colleagues to monitor the number of vehicles coming into site for repair
- Making optimum use of the resources within your area of responsibility, against agreed targets
- Delivering exceptional customer service at every step
- Championing Health and Safety in the workshop, including responsibility for the personal protective equipment worn by your team
- Flagging any potential Health and Safety risk to the people who could be directly affected by it
- Monitoring and controlling workshop output and efficiencies
- Explaining repair procedures and processes clearly to the workshop and to customers with varying levels of understanding
- Directing the use of workshop equipment when allocating tasks
- Valuing vehicles at market rate to determine the economics of a repair
- Keeping material wastage within target
- Making sure no customer vehicle, or its contents, is ever damaged or lost while under repair
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- A solid understanding of the repair industry, vehicle legislation and trade practice
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, including the provisions of the EPA and risk assessment
- Confident computer literacy
- Natural leadership and coaching ability
- Strong knowledge of the repair process and vehicle construction
- The ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
