The Role

Adonis is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own and scale our cloud platform, developer tooling, and data infrastructure. In this hands-on IC role, you will set standards for reliability, security, and performance across healthcare products serving enterprise physician groups.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and own secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC, reusable modules, and paved-road patterns.

• Own and improve our data infrastructure, including Postgres, RDS/Aurora, and Snowflake, with a focus on reliability, HA, backups, disaster recovery, and migrations.

• Build and maintain a self-service developer platform, including CI/CD, testing, and local and ephemeral environments that enable teams to ship quickly and safely.

• Establish observability standards with Datadog, including monitoring, alerting, and tracing.

• Raise engineering standards around maintainability, performance, reliability, code quality, and security through standards, code review, and mentorship.

• Partner with product teams to turn engineering friction into platform capabilities while strengthening security in a HIPAA and SOC 2 environment, including IAM, network security, and PHI handling.

• Develop AI-natively, using tools like Claude Code to design, build, review, and operate systems with strong judgment around validation and oversight.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities and operational efficiency.

Who You Are

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.

• Strong ownership mindset, with experience building operational maturity, standards, and scalable systems rather than simply maintaining existing infrastructure.

• Comfortable working across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, developer tooling, data infrastructure, and application support.

• Strong experience with:

  • AWS, including Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions, and related services

  • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

  • Python 3

  • Postgres (RDS/Aurora) and DynamoDB, including HA, backups, disaster recovery, and migrations

  • Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform

  • Docker and containerized workflows

  • Workflow orchestration tools, particularly Temporal (also Airflow or similar). - Familiarity with HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance processes.

  • Datadog for monitoring, alerting, and tracing

  • GitHub and CI/CD, including GitHub Actions

• Experience working in a regulated environment such as healthcare or finance, with an understanding of security and sensitive data requirements.

The base salary range for this position is $190,000 to $210,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer competitive equity and benefits packages.

Compensation Philosophy

Actual base pay will depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Adonis determines compensation based on each candidate’s experience and qualifications relative to peers, and most new hires fall near the middle of the range. In addition to base salary, you’ll receive meaningful equity and great benefits.
