Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer in Tallahassee, Florida. This position will be involved with mid-to-large scale transportation complete streets and multimodal projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Engineer and Engineer of Record for mid- to large-scale transportation, Complete Streets, roadway, and multimodal infrastructure projects, overseeing project delivery from planning and design through construction and digital delivery.
- Provide specialized technical expertise in Complete Streets design, roadway engineering, transportation BIM, 3D modeling, and digital delivery, while developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Perform quality control reviews, approve technical work products, and sign and seal engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with agency standards and project quality requirements.
- Present technical recommendations and project solutions to clients, agencies, stakeholders, and project teams while supporting public engagement, project development, and decision-making efforts.
- Support business development through technical proposals, project pursuits, scope development, engineering cost estimates, schedules, staffing plans, and mentoring of junior engineering staff
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- 8 years of experience in transportation engineering, roadway design, Complete Streets, or multimodal infrastructure projects or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing projects from planning through construction.
- Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, quality management, and client coordination.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Transportation, Urban Planning, or related discipline.
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record and signing/sealing transportation project deliverables.
- Experience in transportation BIM, digital delivery, and 3D modeling
- Experience with Complete Streets, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, roadway reconstruction, and multimodal transportation planning and design.
- Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, ArcGIS, or related transportation design software.
