Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer. This role will own sales execution, growth initiatives, sales and marketing content creation, and accountability across customer-facing teams.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can quickly learn complex products and markets. Prior life insurance industry experience is preferred but not required.
This is a hybrid position. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, organized, and effective at building relationships, driving accountability, and collaborating across teams in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize sales process, pipeline management, and growth initiatives.
- Create, manage, and distribute sales and marketing materials using AI tools, agents, and traditional marketing channels.
- Develop presentations, campaigns, webinars, partner outreach programs, and sales collateral.
- Lead, coach, and motivate account management and engagement team members.
- Establish measurable KPIs, goals, and accountability standards.
- Provide proactive reporting on progress toward goals, performance trends, and areas for improvement.
- Drive accountability, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency across sales and engagement functions.
Qualifications
Must Have
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, account management, marketing, or sales leadership.
- Proven ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing and motivating teams.
- Strong analytical, reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience creating sales and marketing content and distributing it through multiple channels.
- Proficiency with AI tools, CRM systems, and productivity platforms.
- Comfort operating in a lean, fast-paced startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage priorities independently, and communicate effectively across distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in life insurance, annuities, financial services, InsurTech, or related industries.
- Ability to quickly learn complex products, regulations, and distribution channels.
- Experience developing and executing B2B sales and marketing initiatives.

- Build and distribute a consistent stream of sales and marketing content.
- Develop a working knowledge of Afficiency's products, partners, and target markets.
Additional Information
Compensation & Location
$80,000-$110,000 base salary. This role is based in New York, NY on a hybrid schedule.
