About the Role

The Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting will assist in preparing technical accounting memos on issues relevant to Alarm.com and researching authoritative accounting guidance under U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP"), under the direction of the Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting. The position will also support the implementation of new accounting standards.

The role is also responsible for preparing the Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs and related financial schedules supporting the financial statement disclosures, along with other Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") filings (e.g., 8-Ks), and for the completion and review of eXtensible Business Reporting Language ("XBRL") on a quarterly basis.

Additional responsibilities include assessing the accounting for and tracking of development projects eligible for capitalization, calculating credit losses under the Current Expected Credit Losses model, assisting with due diligence and purchase accounting procedures for acquisitions, coordinating with third-party valuation experts on intangible asset valuations, reviewing customer and vendor contracts as well as lease contracts to assess proper accounting treatment, and performing financial repo
