We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assistant at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Shift & Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off - rolling shift / Working 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs

Rate of pay: Depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and walk throughs of the production area to ensure the environment is hygienic, staff are wearing appropriate clothing (hairnets, gloves), and machines are clean.
• Monitor and record the temperatures of storage refrigerators, freezers and requested areas.
• Test safety equipment such as metal detectors and X-ray machines to verify they are functioning correctly and being used as per the correct process.
• Collect samples of raw materials, semi-finished foods, and finished products for laboratory testing (moisture control, and micro-testing for bacteria). Collect and prepare laboratory samples and track re
