Associate Project Manager

Job Description

The Associate Project Manager responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, forecast revenue, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Work with Senior Project Managers or Operations Managers to prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.

Requires knowledge and work in other job roles in the field or in a related area. Fairly familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to another Project Manager or Manager or head of a unit/department.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Interpret project specifications, drawings and project-specific documents to establish project intent and then to align all internal resources with the plan.
  • Assist in the development of Sub-Contractor scope of work documentation.
  • Maintain contracts and subcontracts.
  • Oversee and manage change order process of project.
  • Materials Specification, Ordering, Tracking and Installation support.
  • Schedule and manage start-up, installation and commissioning.
  • Responsible for all Project Related and Customer Required Documentation, to include at a minimum; Submittals, RFI’s, Schedule, Safety Compliance, Commissioning and/or Validation
  • Maintain up to date As-Built documentation throughout project lifecycle. Coordinate final Turnover Package to Owner to include, Design documentations, System Backup, Recover and General Use Training, Warranty and Service Department turnover.
  • Responsible for Monthly Invoicing and Project Forecasting.
  • Identify risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Forecast and track for accuracy all assigned project revenues.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HVAC and Mechanical System Checkout, Startup and System Commissioning or installation.
  • Ability to interpret design documentation.
  • Strong computer skills required specifically proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include Project.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills both written and verbal.

Pay Rate: $30-$35/hr. DOE.
