Job Description
The AGS Business Analytics Analyst 1 is responsible for supporting the reporting and analytics functions for our MSP, RPO and Procurement Solutions programs. They provide reporting and analytical support to our program teams and clients by leveraging our tools and best practices. Analysts may be assigned to multiple programs and/or product lines and must be available to support client programs in many different capacities.
The Business Analyst should be able to execute job responsibilities with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other operational areas, with guidance from Leads or Managers.
Responsibilities
Compile, deliver, and track data used to measure overall program performance as well as individual vendor performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis.
Provides written analysis of business issues using internal data sources, trending analysis and problem-solving skills.
Reconcile and manage data quality as necessary to resolve discrepancies and/or reconcile results.
Administer program operations reports (internal or client-facing) and produce corporate level reporting to support management decision-making.
Maintain program reporting catalogs, schedules and documentation to support business continuity.
Document reporting requirements, procedures, and business rules necessary to support the delivery of reporting for our programs and customers.
Manage a combination of regularly scheduled deliverables as well as ad hoc reporting requests.
Assist Operations teams in the maintenance or creation of QBR presentations by providing supporting data.
- Handling Tier 2, Tier 3 or SIGMA level programs with low ad hoc frequency, medium report requirements and direct interaction with client sponsorship.
A Business Analyst is not expected to implement complex technical solutions into deliverables (i.e. PowerBI, SQL, Access, etc.), but may be partnered with a Technical resource to implement such solutions into key deliverables.
Identify areas for process improvement but is not expected to complete changes without support from senior analysts or technical resources.
A Business Analyst may be expected to implement new programs or expansions, as necessary.
Perform basic analyses of the program data (i.e. trending analysis, benchmarking, connections between relevant data points, etc.).
Take the initiative to improve industry knowledge, technical and analytical skills to improve overall performance.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (proficiency with vlookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, dynamic charts, graphs, etc.).
Proficiency with the reporting tools utilized by our programs and provided by our Technology partners.
Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Strong problem-solving capabilities, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to hit aggressive deadlines.
Ability to build relationships with key individuals.
Aptitude for learning new technologies and learning on the fly.
Additional Information
At AGS we operate a hybrid working policy – we recognise individuals want the flexibility of working from home but with the option to be in an office. In line with our company policy, employees are expected to work from the office on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Our UK AGS office locations are Bracknell, London and Birmingham with client site locations across the UK. If you’re lucky enough to be within a commutable distance of one of our AGS collaborative offices, this will be your allocated work home but you’ll still have the piece of mind to flex your working week accordingly. On occasion some of our job adverts will state an in-office/on-site need but rest assured you’ll be with a wonderful team to work, develop and grow.
