Swansboro Animal Hospital Emergency and Trauma Center is a 24/7 emergency veterinary practice located in the coastal town of Swansboro, North Carolina. Our surgery and internal medicine caseloads are high, giving you the opportunity to expand your skill set.
Medical autonomy is paramount in our emergency field, and we are committed to not micromanaging our veterinarians. If you are a new graduate or just new to emergency medicine, you will be provided supportive mentorship along the way! We will provide as much, or as little, guidance as you would like as you begin your journey with us.
We are an educational and mentorship-first hospital, providing externship opportunities to both technician students and aspiring veterinarians. Collaborative medicine is imperative for growth in veterinary medicine, and we encourage cooperation between all members of the staff. We have monthly doctor meetings, case reviews, and rounds at every shift change to bridge the gap between support staff and DVMs.
