Job description:

As a Guidewire ClaimCenter Product Engineering, you will design, develop, and support enterprise insurance solutions within the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform, with a strong focus on integrations and digital services. You will work within XP-driven Agile teams, practicing pair programming, test-driven development, and continuous delivery to build scalable, resilient, and high-quality solutions.

This role requires hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter configuration, Gosu development, Integration Gateway applications, REST-based services, messaging frameworks, and batch processing solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integration patterns, troubleshoot production issues, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure solutions meet customer, business, security, and regulatory requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Practice daily pair programming and test-driven development while delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Design, develop, and support Guidewire ClaimCenter integrations using REST APIs, messaging frameworks, Integration Gateway applications, batch processes, and work queues.
  • Build and maintain continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, and engineers to develop scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to system architecture and integration strategies.
  • Support production and non-production environments by troubleshooting incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable fixes.
  • Participate in iteration planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and estimation activities to ensure shared understanding of work items.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities across the team.
  • Participate in daily standups and collaborate effectively across distributed teams and product areas.
  • Promote engineering best practices, automation, quality, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience delivering solutions on Guidewire ClaimCenter.
  • Guidewire Certified Associate.
  • Experience with Guidewire integrations, including:
  • REST and SOAP web services
  • Integration Gateway applications
  • Message queues and asynchronous processing
  • Work queues and batch processing
  • Event-driven integration patterns
  • Familiarity with source control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Guidewire Certified Professional – Integration is nice to have.
  • Experience in the use of Gen AI.  
  • Experience with Personal Lines Insurance line of business.   
  • Experience in Agile, with XP is an asset and comfortable with pair programming.   
  • Experience with Agility (or Version 1).

Compensation

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 80,900.00 - 129,725.00 annually.  Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.
