BIM Modeler/Detailer

We’re looking for a skilled BIM Modeler / Electrical Detailer to turn electrical design plans into accurate, coordinated 3D models and construction-ready drawings. This role supports commercial electrical projects by resolving design conflicts, developing prefabrication details, and ensuring field teams have the information they need for efficient installation.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain detailed 3D models of electrical systems, including conduit pathways, cable trays, equipment, hangers, sleeves, and penetrations.
• Generate shop drawings, installation plans, spool drawings, coordination layouts, and prefabrication packages for field use.
• Run clash detection and coordinate electrical layouts with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Review design documents and technical specifications to catch inconsistencies, installation challenges, and missing information before construction.
• Work through BIM/VDC coordination issues with engineers, project managers, and other trades to develop workable solutions.
• Incorporate approved RFIs, submittals, design updates, and field changes into project models.
• Partner with estimators, superintendents, foremen, and installation crews to align model details with actual site conditions.
• Develop models that improve prefabrication accuracy, installation sequencing, and field productivity.
