Estimator - Commercial Electrical Construction

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive bids for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout the Houston area.

This role will manage the estimating process from initial plan review through project handoff, including electrical takeoffs, scope analysis, vendor and subcontractor pricing, cost development, and proposal preparation.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial electrical estimating experience, a solid understanding of electrical construction, and the ability to manage multiple bids while collaborating with Project Managers, general contractors, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to determine project scope and pricing requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop complete bid proposals, scope clarifications, pricing summaries, exclusions, and value engineering recommendations.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, project risks, exclusions, and cost-saving opportunities.
