HVAC Controls Technician

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to join a growing Building Automation and Controls team supporting commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and municipal facilities throughout the Gulf Coast region.

This field-based role will focus on the installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of HVAC controls and Building Automation Systems (BAS). The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with DDC controls, low-voltage systems, commercial HVAC equipment, and building automation protocols, along with strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, start up, commission, troubleshoot, and service HVAC controls and BAS systems.
• Perform controller startup, point-to-point testing, wiring inspections, functional testing, and system commissioning.
• Troubleshoot DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, dampers, VFDs, communication networks, and related field devices.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, sequences of operation, and project specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, communication, and system-performance issues.
• Support system startup, commissioning, optimization, and performance verification for new and existing BAS installations.
