Pre-Construction Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, budgeting, and planning efforts for commercial construction projects throughout the Kansas City market.

This position will take ownership of the preconstruction process from initial pursuit and conceptual budgeting through final pricing and transition to construction. The ideal candidate combines strong estimating expertise with a deep understanding of commercial construction, constructability, procurement, scheduling, and project execution.

The Preconstruction Manager will work closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and executive leadership to develop accurate and competitive project budgets while identifying risks and establishing a clear plan for successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete preconstruction process from project pursuit through final handoff to operations.
• Develop conceptual budgets, preliminary estimates, detailed estimates, GMPs, and final project pricing.
• Review architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and specialty drawings and specifications to develop comprehensive project estimates.
• Analyze plans and specifications to identify scope gaps, design conflicts, constructability concerns, and potential cost exposures.
