Project Manager - Structural Steel & Precast Construction
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead structural steel and precast construction projects throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
The ideal candidate has direct experience working for a structural steel contractor, steel fabricator, or specialty steel erection company and understands the coordination required between engineering, detailing, fabrication, transportation, crane operations, field crews, and general contractors.
Experience with precast concrete erection, miscellaneous metals, and ornamental iron is highly valued. This position will take ownership of projects from initial kickoff through final closeout, with responsibility for scheduling, budgeting, procurement, fabrication coordination, erection logistics, subcontractor management, quality, safety, and overall project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage structural steel and precast construction projects from project kickoff through completion, turnover, and final closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, fabrication schedules, and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, field crews, detailers, fabricators, subcontractors, suppliers, crane operators, and general contractors.
- Review structural drawings, shop drawings, erection drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.
