Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tekla Detailer to lead structural steel modeling and detailing from design development through fabrication and field erection.
This is a senior technical role combining advanced Tekla Structures expertise with leadership, quality control, and workflow development. The successful candidate will produce and review fabrication-ready models and drawings while helping establish detailing standards, improve workflows, and mentor other detailers.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a structural steel fabrication environment and understands the complete detailing lifecycle—from 3D modeling and connection detailing through shop drawings, fabrication, delivery, and erection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural steel modeling and detailing using Tekla Structures from design through fabrication and erection.
- Develop accurate, fabrication-ready 3D models, shop drawings, erection drawings, bills of materials, and related detailing documentation.
- Review structural drawings, architectural plans, specifications, engineering documents, and contract requirements to establish detailing scope.
- Identify design conflicts, missing information, constructability issues, and potential fabrication or erection challenges.
