Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
What you’re responsible for:
- Performing daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconciling bank statements and monitoring discrepancies, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and ensuring proper documentation.
- Processing invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions efficiently.
- Supporting payroll processing and tax compliance activities.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accuracy in budget tracking and forecasting.
- Assisting with audits and providing necessary documentation to auditors.
- Staying updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance
Qualifications
To join our team:
- You have a diploma or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- You have a minimum of 3 years in accounting or bookkeeping.
- You have experience with specific accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero) is preferred.
- You have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- You have strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
- You have the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with various departments
