Job Description

Transactional Finance Operations Administrator

Billing & Credit Control | Manchester

The role

We’re looking for a Transactional Finance Operations Administrator to join our Manchester team, supporting across both billing and credit control.

It’s a varied role where you’ll play an important part in keeping our finance operations running smoothly. You’ll help make sure invoices are raised accurately and on time, payments are followed up effectively, and any billing or payment queries are resolved quickly.

You’ll work closely with clients as well as teams across the wider business, so this would suit someone who is organised, confident communicating with people and enjoys taking ownership rather than simply processing tasks.

What you’ll be doing

  • Raising and issuing accurate invoices in line with client requirements
  • Supporting credit control activity, including chasing outstanding payments and issuing statements
  • Acting as a key point of contact for billing and payment queries
  • Investigating issues and working with the right people to get them resolved
  • Processing credit notes, re-invoicing and ad-hoc charges when required
  • Keeping customer, billing and finance information accurate and up to date
  • Working closely with our Sales and Onboarding teams to resolve missing or incorrect information
  • Monitoring purchase orders and flagging where updates or extensions are needed
  • Supporting reporting across billing, queries and outstanding debt
  • Making sure activity is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

What we’re looking for

You don’t necessarily need to have done this exact role before. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude who wants to learn, develop and build their career within finance.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Some experience in finance, billing, invoicing, credit control or a similar administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Confidence communicating with both clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to solving problems and following queries through to resolution
  • The ability to juggle different priorities and work to deadlines
  • A willingness to learn and take on more responsibility as you develop

Working pattern

As the role supports our UK, European and US teams, there is some flexibility required around working hours.

The typical working pattern is:

  • Three days per week: 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Two days per week: 1:00pm – 9:30pm

What you’ll get

  • The opportunity to develop experience across both billing and credit control
  • Exposure to a fast paced, international business
  • A supportive team where you can continue learning and developing
  • Clear opportunities for progression
  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance related bonus

You’ll also be joining a business where our values genuinely shape how we work: Positivity, Respect, Ownership, Fun, Excellence and Success (PROFES).
