Job Description Summary:

As part of the Talent Development team, this role will design learning across digital, live, blended, and in-the-flow-of-work formats. The Senior Learning Experience Designer will partner closely with program owners, the People team, HRBPs, subject-matter experts, and adjacent enablement teams to create experiences that support performance management, manager capability, leadership, career growth, AI fluency, and employee development.

This is a hands-on and strategically influential design role for a creative, systems-minded learning professional who can move from needs analysis and learning strategy through the phases of the design and delivery lifecycle. The role will help elevate learning from a support activity to a scalable driver of employee capability by modernizing how learning is designed, created, maintained, and experienced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end learning experience design by partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs, learner needs, and learning objectives into engaging learning journeys for managers, leaders, and employees across live, digital, blended, and in-the-flow-of-work formats.

  • Develop high-quality, accessible, and engaging learning content—including participant materials, job aids, digital modules, videos, practice activities, storyboards and other assets—using adult learning, instructional design, behavior-change, visual design, and interaction design principles.

  • Use digital authoring tools, interaction patterns, responsive design principles, and accessibility practices—including WCAG 2.1 AA where applicable—to create inclusive and usable digital learning experiences.

  • Design and support manager and employee development programs focused on manager capability, leadership, performance management, AI fluency, compliance, career growth, and cross-functional skill development; partner with program owners to reinforce learning on the job.

  • Use generative AI tools, structured prompting, and lightweight automation to accelerate content development and create more experiential, practice-based, and in-the-flow-of-work learning. Apply guardrails for accuracy, accessibility, privacy, intellectual property, and human review.

  • Build and maintain learning content in the LMS and other approved learning platforms and digital tools; support publishing, versioning, maintenance, and content lifecycle practices without owning the underlying platform administration or engineering infrastructure.

  • Evaluate and improve learning solutions by reviewing learner and stakeholder feedback, participation and engagement data available through learning platforms, interpreting dashboards and other reporting, and applying evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick’s Levels 1–4.

  • Document repeatable design practices, lessons learned, maintenance approaches, and recommendations that help the Talent Development team scale its work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in adult learning, instructional design, education, organizational development, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, curriculum design, enablement, or a related field.

  • A portfolio demonstrating the design of adult learning across multiple formats—including asynchronous, instructor-led, and/or blended experiences—with strong visual communication, digital content creation, accessibility, and practical application.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, behavior-change, and inclusive design practices, including ADDIE or comparable iterative design models and Universal Design for Learning principles. Able to translate ambiguous requests into clear learning objectives, experience maps, design concepts, and finished deliverables tailored to the audience and business need.

  • Experience partnering with subject-matter experts and stakeholders to develop learning solutions and incorporate feedback effectively.

  • Proven project management and operational skills, including the ability to manage timelines, priorities, dependencies, reviews, and deliverables across multiple projects.

  • Experience using learning management platforms, digital authoring tools, collaboration tools, and presentation or design software, including LearnUpon, Articulate Storyline/Rise, Easy Generator, Captivate, Camtasia, and Google Workspace or comparable tools.

  • Able to apply prompt design and iteration, reusable prompt patterns, human-in-the-loop review, output evaluation, and lightweight automation within approved tools to create accurate, accessible, practice-based learning content.

  • Demonstrated writing, communication, relationship-building, and influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Instructional/Learning Design certification from a recognized institution.

  • Experience designing manager, leadership, performance-management, career-development, or employee enablement programs.

  • Experience working in a remote-first or distributed organization.

  • Experience with integrated people technology ecosystems and learning management or learning experience platforms.

  • Familiarity with Culture Amp or similar tools used to support performance, development, feedback, and the employee experience.

  • Experience with knowledge-management practices and content lifecycle management.
