About the Role & Team

AI is changing how teams understand and improve their products, and Amplitude wants to lead that change. As Director of Product Management for AI & Growth, you’ll lead our Agentic Amplitude and Growth teams. You’ll own the strategy and execution for how AI agents, MCP and headless capabilities help our customers get to value faster, use Amplitude more deeply and stay longer.

You’ll be accountable for both what we build and whether customers adopt it. This role reports to the VP of Product, Core.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the AI product vision and roadmap. Decide how our existing agents and MCP/headless capabilities should evolve, which new agents we should build to solve high-value customer problems, and how customers can use Amplitude wherever they already work, including in coding agents, IDEs, chat tools and other AI platforms.

  • Lead a verticalization strategy. Build purpose-built agents and workflows for specific industries and use cases, such as e-commerce, media, fintech and B2B SaaS, informed by customer research and market sizing.

  • Own the growth engine. Find and pull the levers that drive activation, engagement, retention and expansion.

  • Define what “good” looks like for AI. Set up evals, quality benchmarks, guardrails and feedback loops so our agents are accurate, trustworthy and enterprise-ready, and so we can tell when quality improves or regresses.

  • Shape AI pricing and packaging. Work with Finance, Product Marketing and Sales on how AI capabilities are packaged, priced and monetized.

  • Build and develop a high-performing team. Hire, lead and coach product managers and designers. Set a high bar for product craft, give clear and actionable feedback, and actively grow your team’s careers.

  • Be the voice of AI and Growth at Amplitude. Act as an internal and external thought leader for our AI products with customers, analysts, partners and the community.

  • Partner across the company. Work with Core Analytics, Data Platform, Wave, Experimentation and other product teams to find opportunities for AI to drive adoption and retention. Work with Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success on launches, enablement and field feedback.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading teams of product managers, and ideally designers.

  • 2+ years building AI products, with recent hands-on experience shipping agentic products, such as LLM-powered agents, tool use or orchestration, and MCP.

  • Growth experience: you’ve owned activation, engagement or retention metrics, and used experimentation and data to move them.

  • Nice to have: Experience with B2B SaaS, analytics, data and martech products.

  • A track record of launching 0-to-1 products and scaling them to meaningful adoption and revenue.

  • Enough technical depth to engage credibly with engineers on model selection, evals, latency/cost trade-offs, and AI safety and governance.

  • Experience executing complex initiatives in close partnership with engineering and design.

  • Strong communication skills. You can tell a compelling story to executives, customers and large audiences.

  • Comfort operating amid ambiguity, rapid change and a roadmap that evolves with the technology.

  • A history of setting ambitious goals and hitting them through clear strategy, disciplined execution and effective collaboration.
