(Senior) Director, Strategic Alliances Enterprise Lead, ThermoFisher Scientific
Join us as we transform immunology and deliver medicines that help autoimmune patients get their lives back. argenx is preparing for multi-dimensional expansion to reach more patients through a rich pipeline of differentiated assets, led by VYVGART, our first-in-class neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for the treatment of gMG, and with the potential to treat patients across dozens of severe autoimmune diseases.
We are building a new kind of biotech company, one that maintains its roots as a science-based start-up and pushes our commitment to innovate across all corners of our business. We strive to inspire and grow our company, our partnerships, our science, and our people, because when we do, we deliver more for patients.
The Director / Senior Director [TBD], Strategic Alliances serves as the Enterprise Lead for argenx’s partnership ecosystem with Thermo Fisher Scientific [TFS], acting as the enterprise owner, architect, and steward of a strategic relationship spanning clinical development and development operations, clinical supply interfaces, quality, and enabling functions. This role carries primary strategic accountability for the global relationship and works in close partnership with leaders across argenx and TFS to align intent, simplify complexity, and connect teams so argenx engages the partnership as one coherent enterprise alliance, not a fragmented, study-by-study set of interactions. The Director / Senior Director intentionally embeds integration, governance, innovation, quality, and value creation across the full partnership portfolio, enabling faster decisions, more consistent delivery, and measurable outcomes for patients while modeling the argenx Way of Partnering.
Key Responsibilities

- Represent argenx as a thoughtful, engaged, and outcome-oriented partner protecting enterprise value by reducing fragmentation, eliminating misaligned asks, and reinforcing partnering behaviors grounded in empowerment, transparency, shared accountability, and the argenx Way of Partnering
- Partner closely with the Breakthrough Partner (BP) Lead as a key senior stakeholder, ensuring alliance strategy, governance, priorities, and partner engagement are aligned with BP objectives and enterprise need

Enable effective, faster decision-making by establishing clear pathways (decision rights, escalation routes, and leadership cadence), shared understanding of roles, and alignment on desired outcomes across argenx and TFS
Establish and maintain strong working rhythms with the BP Lead to ensure visibility across TFS activities, timely escalation of cross-functional issues, and alignment on decisions that affect the broader partnership model
Value Creation, Innovation, and Growth
Co-create and evolve a multi-year alliance strategy and enterprise value narrative for TFS, linking argenx priorities with partner strengths and identifying opportunities for greater impact, scalability, and shared value
Develop a deep understanding of TFS capabilities across clinical operations delivery, patient recruitment, laboratory services, data and systems, quality, and global scale, translating those capabilities into practical models that help teams execute with greater clarity and speed
Support internal teams in moving from transactional engagement toward co-creation, repeatable innovation, and differentiated enterprise value, converting scale and spend into measurable acceleration, quality, and outcomes
Co-create an end-to-end partnership model with TFS that connects capabilities, governance, decision-making, and innovation pathways across the relationship, enabling TFS to engage argenx more effectively while helping argenx capture greater enterprise value, speed, quality, and scalability
Collaborate with TFS and the BP Lead to identify and prioritize future-facing innovation opportunities, emerging capabilities, and new partnership approaches that advance argenx’s business priorities and evolve the enterprise partnership model beyond today’s work
Required Capabilities and Experience
Extensive experience leading and evolving complex, enterprise-critical partnerships spanning multiple functions (e.g., clinical development/operations, quality, clinical supply interfaces, data/systems, and enabling functions) in a global, highly regulated environment
