Commercial Project Engineer

The position has been established primarily to support the Business Solutions Division in the commercial management of projects throughout their execution lifecycle.

The Commercial Project Engineer supports the management of assigned projects from contract award and project handover through execution and final commercial close-out. The role focuses on monitoring the commercial health of projects, administering contractual and commercial requirements, supporting invoicing and revenue forecasting, assessing variations and claims, and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

The candidate will be required to combine engineering knowledge, commercial awareness, contractual understanding, and strong analytical capability to evaluate the financial and commercial impact of project developments. The position also requires the ability to perform quantity surveying activities, including the measurement and remeasurement of executed works, reconciliation of contractual quantities, and application of contractual price-adjustment and escalation mechanisms.

The Commercial Project Engineer will work closely with Project Management, Contract Management, Engineering, Planning, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other relevant functions.
