Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer– Offshore Operations is an office-based role supporting in fault management, maintenance planning, spare parts management, and mobilization activities for subsea robotic equipment (trenchers and associated tooling) deployed on projects. Acts as the first point of contact for electrical/automation faults reported from the field, coordinating resolution either directly or through the appropriate onshore specialist. Occasional field visits may be required for active campaigns or mobilizations.

Suits an electrical engineer with solid industrial experience looking to specialize in offshore/subsea operations support, primarily office-based.

Key Responsibilities

Fault Management (Triage & Coordination)

  • Receive and log electrical/automation faults reported from vessels/projects; understand the issue and assess its complexity.
  • For straightforward faults, guide and assist ship-based technicians remotely to resolve them.
  • For more complex faults, escalate to the appropriate onshore Electrical/Automations engineer, and coordinate and follow up until resolution.
  • Maintain a clear record of all faults, actions taken, and resolution status.
