The Power BI Developer

ASSYST is seeking a Power BI Developer to support our client project in Tallahassee, FL.

Scope of Work:

The Power BI Developer will design, build, secure, and operationalize analytic solutions on Microsoft Power BI and Azure Synapse Analytics to deliver trusted, timely insights from the Department Enterprise Data Warehouse and related Department systems.

The role spans semantic model design, report development, governance, performance optimization, and deployment lifecycle management, with strict adherence to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and agency data-governance policies.

Job responsibilities:

Report, Dashboard, and Semantic Model Development:

• Design star schema tabular models that consume silver and gold datasets, defining clear facts, dimensions, hierarchies, and relationships that reflect business rules and formal audit needs;
• Develop performant Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) measures, calculation logic, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reusable measure templates to ensure consistent reporting standards across the enterprise;
