Panel Beater

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and restore damaged vehicle body panels and structures.
• Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair or replacement method.
• Remove, repair, reshape, and replace damaged body panels.
• Use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic equipment, and panel-beating equipment safely.
• Carry out dent removal, straightening, welding, cutting, and panel alignment.
• Ensure repaired panels are correctly aligned and fitted to manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare repaired surfaces for filling, priming, and painting.
• Work with other technicians, including vehicle painters and mechanics, to complete repairs.
• Inspect completed repairs to ensure a high standard of workmanship and finish.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organised workshop.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater / Vehicle Body Repair Technician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and accident damage restoration.
• Experience working with steel, aluminium, and other vehicle body materials is an advantage.
• Skilled in dent removal, panel alignment, welding, cutting, and reshaping.
• Ability to interpret vehicle repair procedures and technical specifications.
