Senior Software QA Engineer (Industrial Software/Smart Factory)
Location: Krakow, Poland (Hybrid)
Position Overview
Autodesk is expanding its engineering presence in Krakow and is looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help shape the future of our Smart Factory and Facility Operations platforms.
You will work with our Scrum teams on our next-generation cloud web application platform – Tandem – that connects data and workflows across Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT (IIoT), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Digital Twin solutions.
This senior role is focused on providing premium cloud platform experience in the industrial software domain by applying sound quality assurance principles, test design, test automation and execution.

Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies and methodologies for our industrial software suite (web application frontend and backend)
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and assessment of quality standards.
- Perform sanity checks and regression testing before production release.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Software Developers to ensure acceptance criteria meet project goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and team members to ensure that testing adequately validates customer experience.
- Implement quantitative and qualitative measures that validate the quality standards that were met and the ones exposed to quality risk(s).
- Analyze test results to predict user behavior, identify bugs, and suggest solutions to minimize problems.
- Develop and execute cloud app UI automated tests. Implement functional test cases that cover integration of components, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.
- Verify that the final product meets requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- Familiarity with industrial and manufacturing domain software (design, simulation, digital twin, operations), Smart Factory/Industry 4.0 solutions, facility operations, asset management, AEC etc
- 5+ years of experience in software development or quality assurance with proficiency in web frameworks.
- Experience with one or more automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium etc)
- Experience with automated API tests
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages e.g. JavaScript, Python etc.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking systems such as JIRA, TestRail.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex software issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum framework.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
