Job Summary

As a Maintenance Assistant in a long-term care facility, assisted living, independent living and or memory care community, you’ll assist in maintaining the physical plant, performing general maintenance tasks, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents and staff, under the supervision of a Maintenance Lead or Maintenance Director.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, minor repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets), and ensuring the facility is in good working order. 
• Conduct routine safety checks, report any hazards or needed repairs, and assist with snow and ice removal as needed. 
• Assist with cleaning and sanitation duties, including trash removal, floor care (cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing), and maintaining a clean and organized environment. 
• Assist with maintaining the inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment. 
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
