Legal Counsel - Construction

Axiom is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a leading in-house legal team supporting complex construction and infrastructure projects across Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction lawyer who enjoys partnering with the business, providing practical legal advice, and working on high-value projects from tender through to delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, consultancy agreements, supplier agreements and subcontractor arrangements.
• Advising on bids, tenders and contract negotiations with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Supporting project delivery teams by providing practical legal advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Responding to day-to-day legal and commercial queries from stakeholders across the business.
• Identifying and managing contractual risk while enabling commercial outcomes.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in construction law.
