Quantity Surveyor (Contract)

At BakerHicks, we’re continuing to grow our project delivery capability across complex engineering and construction environments. 
We’re now looking for an experienced contract Quantity Surveyor to join our on-site team on a key project in Ayrshire, supporting the commercial delivery of multiple work packages - with a particular focus on electrical installation works.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role within a collaborative, site-based team, contributing directly to successful project outcomes in a highly regulated environment

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be a key member of the project delivery team, supporting and leading commercial activities across the project lifecycle.

This will include:

• Managing subcontractor packages from contract award through to final account
• Leading on variations and claims, including pricing, negotiation and close-out
• Preparing and submitting accurate applications for payment with supporting evidence
• Overseeing cash flow, forecasting and cost reporting to support project performance
• Identifying and managing commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Supporting operational teams with progress monitoring, cost control and value recovery
