Snr Consultant, Insurance

About the opportunity 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our growing US consulting team. You will work with clients on complex strategic, operational and transformational challenges, bringing structure to ambiguity, generating practical insight and helping turn recommendations into action. This role offers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of client work while developing your consulting, leadership and sector expertise. 

What you will be doing 

• Own defined project workstreams from planning through delivery, managing activities, outputs, risks and day-to-day client interactions. 

• Structure complex problems, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, and translate findings into practical recommendations. 

• Develop high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, business cases, roadmaps, operating models and implementation plans. 

• Facilitate interviews, workshops and working sessions with client stakeholders and Baringa colleagues. 

• Coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative delivery environment. 

• Support the development of junior colleagues through coaching, feedback and on-the-job guidance. 

• Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, capability development and other activities that help grow our US business. 

Your skills and experience 

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative Senior Consultant with typically 3–5 years of relevant consulting experience. The strongest candidates will demonstrate the ability to own substantial portions of client engagements and deliver high-quality work with increasing independence. 

• A strong foundation in management or strategy consulting, with experience delivering complex client work. 

• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to structure ambiguous issues and turn analysis into clear recommendations. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create concise, compelling client materials. 

• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams in dynamic, client-facing environments. 

• Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment and a collaborative approach to solving problems. 

• A commitment to developing others and contributing positively to an inclusive, people-first culture. 

• Willingness to travel to client sites as engagement needs require. 

• Demonstrated experience independently managing analyses, deliverables or significant workstreams. 

• Experience in one or more of Baringa’s sectors or capabilities is preferred, but breadth and transferable consulting skills are also valued. 

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
