Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our staff.

• Salary Range: $700,000 - $900,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Fellowship training encouraged but not a requirement. This surgeon would have access to an OR for urgent and “cold trauma’ cases in a room reserved for emergent surgery. There would also be time allotted for elective trauma reconstructive practice. There are separate call schedules for Spine and Hand. The practice covers one centrally located ER.
• Join an established group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC’s)
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
• General Orthopedic Call with Orthopedic Hospitalist
• Referral Base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians
• Access to “dedicated orthopedic trauma room” to do cases during daytime hours
• Full Support Staff including APC’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
