BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.
Position Summary
BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hazardous Waste Technician forBB&E’s NASA Glenn Research Center located in Neil A Armstrong Test Facility (GRC-ATF), formerly known as the Plum Brook Station, in Erie County, Ohio.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for collecting hazardous waste research and development (R&D) lab waste.
- Responsible for collecting medical waste.
- Segregate and process hazardous waste according to hazard class.
- Bulk various types of solvents for flammable liquid & non-RCRA liquid drums.
- Lab pack hazardous waste & medical waste.
- Perform hazardous waste pick-ups, on-site transportation, waste sampling, waste classification, waste packaging, manifesting, and tracking of waste containers from cradle-to-grave.
- Provide support and guidance to hazardous waste generators regarding proper labeling, storage, and management of hazardous waste.
