Technician for Train

As a Technician onboard the Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all technical systems and equipment throughout the journey. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and mandatory maintenance, troubleshooting issues in real time, and supporting the smooth delivery of luxury service to our guests.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all train equipment is maintained and operated in line with National Rail standards.
• Participating in improvement programs and projects to introduce new functionality, procedures, or scheduling enhancements.
• Managing spare parts and consumables: ordering, receiving, storing, and maintaining minimum stock levels.
• Delivering accurate forecasting and execution of preventative and mandatory maintenance schedules.

• Coordinating with internal staff, contractors, and project managers to guarantee successful setup and operation of technical systems.
• Supporting strategies that maintain the train in optimal condition while aligning with planned operating schedules.
• Ensuring clear communication and workflow between onboard operations and the ECM (Entity in Charge of Maintenance).
• Compiling equipment data, performance metrics, and maintenance histories, and recommending improvements based on findings.
