About the Role

  • Assess the impact of regulatory and risk changes (e.g., BaFin or EU requirements) on systems, processes, and customer journeys.
  • Partner with product leadership, engineering, and data science to influence roadmap decisions.
  • Mentor junior analysts and help improve our analysis frameworks and ways of working.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst (or similar) in FinTech, payments, or financial services.
  • Strong domain expertise in risk, fraud, or payment processing systems.
  • Proven experience leading complex initiatives and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable system designs, including APIs, workflows, and data models.
  • Deep experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), including backlog ownership and refinement.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A high degree of ownership and autonomy.
  • Fluent English; German is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with BNPL, consumer finance, or credit risk decisioning systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection systems and rule- or ML-based decision engines.
