Description du poste

As a BIM Coordinator Infrastructure & Data Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the quality, consistency and coordination of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle. You are responsible for setting up and maintaining the modelling environment in line with the project requirements and the BIM strategy defined by the BIM Manager.

You act as the primary point of contact for BIM Leads regarding software-related and technical matters and work closely with engineers and designers to ensure accurate and coordinated modelling of the project. You are also responsible for maintaining clean, structured and efficient BIM models, free from unnecessary views, families and non-essential content.

You deliver high-quality BIM models within the agreed deadlines and according to the project's BIM standards and requirements.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Validating the compliance of BIM models with project BIM standards and requirements.
  • Monitoring and maintaining version control of the different discipline models.
  • Periodically merging and synchronising discipline models into a federated BIM coordination model.
  • Identifying design inconsistencies, clashes and unresolved coordination issues through 3D clash detection and model review sessions.
  • Analysing potential causes of design conflicts and reporting findings to the Design Manager.
  • Planning, organising and chairing BIM coordination meetings.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for Design Leads regarding geometric interfaces and associated control measurements.
  • Supporting BIM Leads and project teams with software-related and technical BIM questions.
  • Ensuring the overall quality, consistency and reliability of BIM models throughout the project.
  • Maintaining a structured modelling environment that facilitates efficient collaboration and information exchange between all stakeholders.

Qualifications

Your profile

  • You hold a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Architecture.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an asset.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a BIM Engineer/BIM Coordinator. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects (above €25 million) is considered a strong asset.
  • You are proficient in BIM coordination and model management tools, including Navisworks Manage, Solibri Model Checker, Revisto, GIS.
  • Experience with Power BI, Dynamo and/or Grasshopper.
  • You have a good understanding of BIM standards, workflows and best practices.
  • Experience with 4D and 5D BIM processes, methodologies and associated tools is considered an asset.
  • You are detail-oriented, quality-driven and committed to delivering accurate and coordinated BIM models.
  • You possess strong communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working in multidisciplinary project teams.
