The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop high-lift-device mechanisms and installations for an advanced narrowbody aircraft. The role will turn aerodynamic and system requirements into practical flap and slat hardware, kinematics, actuation interfaces, and configuration-controlled product definition. This position will be based onsite at our South Burlington, VT office location, our Raleigh, NC office. Remote candidates may be considered for a hybrid role, with monthly visits to South Burlington, VT for in person work.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Develop three-dimensional CAD, layouts, drawings, and interface definition for high-lift mechanisms, supports, tracks, hinges, linkages, actuation, sensors, and installation hardware
- Build and evaluate kinematic and packaging models across the required operating envelope
- Perform preliminary calculations and trade studies for mechanism loa
