Senior Financial Analyst

A quick look at the role

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll play a key role within our Divisional Accounting team, supporting the Head of Divisional Accounting to drive our strategy and develop a consistent, standardised approach to cost accounting across the business. You’ll lead on improving cost accounting processes and postings, implementing new ways of working and strengthening controls, while also coaching Financial Analysts across the team. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact, drive continuous improvement and help shape how divisional accounting operates across the business.

Your core responsibilities

• Support the preparation and review of month-end accounts, ensuring accurate and timely delivery against internal reporting deadlines and agreed SLAs.
• Own and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust controls, appropriate supporting evidence and timely resolution of issues.
• Provide challenge and guidance to Divisional Finance teams on accounting treatments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and principles.
• Support the Head of Divisional Accounting in developing, monitoring and strengthening financial controls, processes and disciplines across the function.
• Drive improvements to existing processes, schedules and ways of working, introducing standardised and fit-for-purpose approaches across the divisions.
