Vice President of Finance

SUMMARY

The Vice President of Finance supports the company and senior leadership team in managing the accounting and financial operations of Billings Flying Service. This role is key to ensuring accurate reporting, sound controls, and practical support to a fast-moving aviation business. The Vice President of Finance will maintain a high standard of financial stewardship while contributing to a culture defined by our core values: Value People and Strengthen the Team, Hunt for Opportunities, Be Gritty & Practical.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring completeness, accuracy and on-time delivery
• General ledger – review and approve journal entries
• Accounts payable – review and approve vendor costs, ensuring proper coding and timely payments
• Accounts receivable – prepare customer billings and maintain strong customer relationships
• Inventory – oversee inventory reporting ensuring accuracy of accounting, ensuring reconciliations and physical counts are performed
• Fixed assets – review fixed asset tracking and ensure accurate capitalization according to policy
• Develop the annual budget and monitor monthly budget v actual reports with variance insights
