Position Summary

Blackbird Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Recruiter - Contract to join our growing Talent Team. This role will focus on recruiting healthcare professionals including LCSW, LSW, LPC, LMFT, PMHNP, other clinical specialists, and clinical support roles. You'll leverage your deep understanding of the behavioral health landscape to build robust candidate pipelines and deliver exceptional recruiting outcomes in a fast-paced startup environment. This role reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition. 

What makes you, you:

  • Clinical Sourcing Specialist: Deep knowledge of mental health credentials (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PMHNP) and state licensing frameworks.
  • Startup-Ready: Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable managing shifting priorities in a high-growth, remote environment.
  • Data-Informed & Tech-Savvy: Experienced using ATS and CRM tools (Greenhouse & Gem preferred) to manage pipelines efficiently.
  • Authentic Communicator: Exceptional relationship builder who engages clinical professionals with empathy and clarity.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own end-to-end recruitment for licensed clinicians, from passive sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and pre-credentialing onboarding.
  • Targeted Sourcing: Execute multi-channel sourcing strategies using healthcare job boards, state licensing databases, professional networks, and AI sourcing tools.
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Collaborate closely with clinical leaders to understand role requirements, state scope-of-practice regulations, and market nuances.
  • Pipeline Analytics: Track key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pass-through rates, channel yield) in Greenhouse and Gem to optimize pipeline performance.
  • Candidate Experience: Deliver a transparent, human-centered candidate journey that reflects Blackbird’s mission and values.

The basics you'll need:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle clinical recruiting experience sourcing licensed mental health professionals.
  • 1+ years of experience in a startup or fast-scaled environment.
  • Proven track record utilizing niche healthcare sourcing channels and state licensing databases.
  • Hands-on experience with ATS systems (Greenhouse and Gem preferred).
