Materials Manager

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Materials Manager drives Blackline Safety’s Materials team to world class performance in all aspects of planning, sustaining procurement, inventory control, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct inventory control, procurement, receiving, and material handling operations.
• Manage production planning and scheduling based on demand forecasts.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer delivery timelines.
• Strategically plan material capacity and layout for 3x growth over 3 years, recommending capital equipment and storage solutions with ROI analysis.
• Implement MRP functionality within Blackline's NetSuite ERP system.
• Consolidate multiple inventory systems (NetSuite, ASM Material Manager, Line Manager).
• Collaborate with global distribution centers to set min/max levels and meet lead times.
• Configure location-based put-away functionality in ERP system.
• Integrate future material management systems (carousels, smart racking) with ERP and SMT software.
• Define and communicate KPI metrics for Materials team performance.
