Job Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer o help own end-to-end technical delivery for a key product/module. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who is strongest on the backend but has solid frontend experience and can operate across backend, frontend, cloud, data, testing, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.

What You'll Do

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across backend, frontend, cloud, data, testing, and deployment.
• Own backend architecture and development using Python and Flask, including API design, service-layer ownership, debugging, and code reviews.
• Guide the team on backend patterns, clean architecture, and separation between service and data-access layers.
• Contribute to frontend development and collaborate closely with UI engineers using React and TypeScript.
• Own and troubleshoot cloud integrations and deployments within GCP.
• Work with databases and data models, particularly Google Spanner and SQL, with exposure to BigQuery for analytics and reporting use cases.
• Establish and maintain effective testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, releases, deployments, and production troubleshooting.
• Identify and address security and dependency risks, including Snyk findings, dependency upgrades, secrets management, and secure development practices.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical decision-making and code quality.
• Help define and maintain module boundaries and ensure consistency across the broader technical architecture.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to improve developer productivity, testing, QA, automation, and delivery.
• Explore and implement agent-based tooling, prompts, skills, MCP/tool integrations, and automation scripts where they can safely improve engineering workflows.
• Use AI responsibly for activities such as code exploration, test generation, QA evidence, Jira/GitHub workflows, and developer productivity.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Python, preferably Flask.
• Strong experience designing and developing APIs and backend services.
• Solid hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience working with GCP and cloud-native applications.
• Strong SQL and database/data modeling experience.
• Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with automated testing and a strong quality mindset.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across application, data, cloud, and deployment layers.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, service boundaries, and maintainable code design.
• Experience conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance to other engineers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to operate as a hands-on technical owner while balancing implementation with technical leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Spanner.
• Experience with BigQuery.
• Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, IAM, and GCP logging/monitoring.
• Experience with pytest, Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright/E2E testing.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and release troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Snyk or similar security/dependency scanning tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted development or AI/agentic engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with MCP, agent-based tooling, prompts, skills, and developer automation.
• Experience working in environments where AI is integrated into software development and QA processes.

7+ years of professional software development experience, with strong full-stack development experience.
