Job Description

At Bosch Home Comfort Group, the Advanced Auto Casing Setup Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting repairs of automated casing manufacturing equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are consistently achieved. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Read, understand, and follow Operational Method Sheets (OMS), work instructions, and production requirements. 
• Prepare workstations, equipment, and materials for production activities. 
• Set up, start, monitor, and operate automated casing production equipment. 
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and coordinate support with Maintenance and Tool & Die teams. 
• Assist with repairs and equipment recovery efforts when appropriate. 
• Monitor scrap removal processes and ensure scrap is properly ejected from the production line. 
• Operate automated presses and perform assembly tasks using pneumatic and hand tools. 
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with quality standards. 
• Maintain accurate production documentation and workplace organization. 
• Support 5S, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives. 
• Communicate Safety, Quality, Delivery, Equipment, and Material concerns to leadership. 
• Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or GED preferred. 
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, machine setup, or automated equipment experience preferred. 
• Ability to read blueprints, technical specifications, and work instructions. 
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to safely operate pneumatic tools and production equipment. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Demands 

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the work shift. 
• Regular use of hands and arms to operate machinery, tools, and equipment. 
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and positioning of materials and components. 
• Continuous visual attention to equipment operation, quality standards, and safety requirements. 
• Wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, cut sleeves, and safety footwear. Additional PPE may be required.

Work Environment
