In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.

Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.

What you will do

Advise the business

·   Give timely legal and compliance advice to Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Patient Advocacy, Clinical Development, and affiliate teams. Join planning early, answer day-to-day questions, and help teams work through new proposals and exceptions.

·   Advise on healthcare professional and organization engagements, including consulting, speaker programs, advisory boards, educational events, grants, sponsorships, and investigator relationships. Keep the focus on legitimate need, fair value, independence, and clear documentation.

·   Counsel on patient support and access programs, interactions with patient organizations, and promotional and nonpromotional activities. Partner with product counsel, review teams, and local counsel where their expertise is needed.

·   Apply U.S. fraud and abuse, false claims, and promotional rules, as well as relevant industry codes and local requirements. Give legal advice where the issue calls for it and communicate practical guidance plainly.

Help improve the program

·   Be a thought partner to the Head of Compliance on the next phase of our healthcare professional engagement model, including fair market value, selection and tiering, contracts, speaker and advisory board practices, and spend data. Work with the teams that own the related processes and systems.

·   Work closely with the Head of Compliance and Director, Compliance Policy & Training to rebuild the Code of Conduct and policy library, drafting and revising policies and practical guidance from day one. Help set clear companywide standards while allowing affiliates to adapt implementation to local law and operations.

·   Develop and deliver clear, role-based compliance training and practical job aids for business and affiliate teams, working closely with the Director, Compliance Policy & Training on priorities, content, and rollout.

·   Partner with Finance, Legal & Compliance Operations, IT, and other process owners on monitoring, transparency reporting, data quality, and vendor controls. Spot gaps, recommend proportionate fixes, and help carry agreed changes through.

·   Support Compliance and Legal colleagues on inquiries, investigations, and corrective action when issues arise. Look for patterns across products, teams, and markets that deserve attention.

Qualifications

·   JD and active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

·   At least 10 years of legal and compliance experience, including substantial pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience and direct support for Commercial and Medical Affairs teams.

·   Strong command of U.S. healthcare fraud and abuse and promotional rules, with experience applying them to healthcare professional engagements, patient support, and other business activities.

·   Experience working across jurisdictions and with local counsel, including knowing when local advice is needed and how to turn it into a decision.

·   Sound judgment, clear writing, and the ability to give a useful answer under time pressure. Comfortable influencing people you do not manage and earning trust across different affiliates and functions.

·   Experience building or improving compliance practices in a growing organization. Familiarity with transparency reporting, engagement data, and global launches is a plus.
