Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Role Purpose

As a Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support our Commercial and Delivery Teams while developing the skills and knowledge needed to progress toward becoming a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor. This role is ideal for someone currently studying or looking to begin a degree in Quantity Surveying. You will gain hands‑on experience working with a variety of contract types, including NEC4, and will be supported through structured training and mentoring.

The Role

This role will be based at our HQ in Midsomer Norton. You will be expected to travel to Client sites, offices and study locations as required.

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday.

• Assist in reviewing and understanding client contracts, learning how to identify key commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support the preparation of monthly commercial reports, ensuring information is accurate and submitted on time.
• Help manage project invoicing by gathering progress information and learning how to prepare applications for payment.
• Contribute to the change control process by helping track variations and understanding how they are valued and agreed.
• Work with Delivery Teams to monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts, developing your ability to analyse financial performance.
