Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description: The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for applying standard theories, techniques, concepts, and practices within the electrical discipline. This position specifies, orders, and oversees the installation of maintenance projects. Additionally, this position assists, champions, and supports major capital projects. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting complex electrical problems involving refinery maintenance and reliability. The Electrical Engineer defines program and documentation standards to ensure refinery reliability and equipment availability.   Job Duties/Responsibilities: •Design moderately complex electrical systems for capital projects for all electrical distribution equipment and substation specifications. •Support Instrumentation/Electrical Maintenance Technicians with complex field problems during project execution. Assist in technical training and craftsmen technical skills development for new technologies installed by project group. •Develop, review, and modify refinery electrical standards with vendors recommendations and NFPA codes. •Develop Turnaround work and ensure all scope is captured in conceptual phase of project. •For new installations for electrical projects and provide calculations/settings when necessary for (i.e. UPS systems, motors, transformers, relays, related substation equipment, etc). •Act as electrical subject matter expert for the project group for all capital projects that have an electrical scope,
