About the Journal Journal of Animal Ecology is a flagship British Ecological Society journal that publishes the best animal ecology research that develops, tests and advances broad ecological principles. The journal has a wide international audience, an active social media presence with over 25,000 followers on BlueSky and Twitter (X) and a dedicated journal blog, and excellent publication metrics, in the top 10 of Zoology journals by IF, Q1 of Ecology journals with a CiteScore of 6.9 and an IF of 3.7.
