Gain practical experience in civil engineering focusing on water/wastewater projects with our team as a Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer Co-op. In this role, you'll work alongside early career and experienced engineers to gain an understanding of water/wastewater design and consulting. You'll gain hands-on experience across areas that could include sewers, mains, lift and booster stations, rehabilitation projects, and water and wastewater treatment facilities while developing the technical skills and problem-solving abilities that will create a foundation for your career.
What You’ll Do
- Be a part of the project team and under the supervision of Professional Engineers, performing manhole inspections throughout the City of Akron sewer systems
- Provide knowledge of municipal infrastructure in a real-life application of civil engineering
