Project Manager, Risk Assessment Design
As a Project Manager, Risk Assessment Design at Capco, you’ll lead and coordinate risk assessment design initiatives within complex financial services environments. This role combines hands-on project management with business consulting, requiring you to bring structure to complex programmes while helping clients design and embed effective risk assessment processes and methodologies.
A key part of the role will be connecting risk assessment design with data strategy and automation. You’ll help clients consider how data is sourced, structured, governed, and used to improve risk assessment outcomes, while identifying opportunities to automate processes, reduce manual effort, and create more efficient and scalable approaches.
You’ll work across business, risk, compliance, operations, data, and technology teams to establish clear delivery plans, facilitate decision-making, manage dependencies, and translate business and regulatory needs into practical risk assessment approaches.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of risk assessment design initiatives, managing scope, plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and outcomes.
- Design, document, and enhance risk assessment processes and methodologies, ensuring they are practical, consistent, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
- Shape and support data strategies for risk assessment, including defining data requirements, sources, governance, quality considerations, and how data can enable stronger risk insights and decision-making.
- Identify and deliver opportunities for process automation, working with business, data, and technology teams to reduce manual activity, improve efficiency, and strengthen the consistency of risk assessment processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, establish effective project governance, and provide clear reporting and recommendations to stakeholders to move initiatives from design through implementation and adoption.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated project management experience delivering complex business, risk, regulatory, or transformation initiatives within financial services.
- Business consulting experience, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop practical solutions, and work effectively with client stakeholders.
- Strong experience in data strategy, with the ability to define how data should be sourced, governed, structured, and used to support risk processes, insights, and business decision-making.
- Hands-on experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities within business, risk, or operational processes, with a clear understanding of how automation can improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
- Experience designing and implementing business processes and methodologies, ideally including risk assessment or risk management frameworks, alongside strong project governance, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Bonus Points For
- Experience within banking, payments, risk, regulatory, or controls-focused transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, risk and control frameworks, or related governance processes.
- Experience supporting data-led transformation, workflow automation, process digitization, or operating model change.
- Relevant project management or change qualifications, such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with Canadian financial services and the associated regulatory and risk environment.
