Job Description
About the Role:
The Finance Systems Accountant is responsible for the day to day operation, integrity, and optimisation of financial systems, data, and associated tools at CDC. The role focuses on ensuring accounting systems are configured correctly, data is accurate and reliable, and reporting outputs meet finance and business needs.
The position works closely with Finance, IT, and operational stakeholders to support system functionality, process improvement, and reporting capability, and plays a key role in maintaining strong financial controls within systems.
Report to
Finance Manager, Systems or as otherwise directed
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and support accounting systems and related applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Perform configuration, testing, and validation of system changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Ensure the integrity, quality, and consistency of financial data across systems and reports.
- Support month‑end and year‑end processes by ensuring system outputs reconcile to the general ledger and statutory requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and improve standard and ad‑hoc financial reports using available tools (e.g. ERP, Excel, Power BI).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial systems and reporting.
