Job Summary:
Seismic Acquisition Specialists play a key role in optimising the design and execution of complex seismic acquisition surveys, leveraging Concept Systems’ comprehensive suite of software tools. In addition to traditional seismic applications, our Acquisition Services team also supports the deployment of Concept Systems’ technology in emerging markets - such as logistics planning and port management - where advanced planning, monitoring, and reporting solutions offer significant value.
The role includes mentoring Acquisition Analysts and contributing to the ongoing technical development of our products and services.
This is a mixed onshore and offshore position (offshore work is conducted aboard marine seismic vessels). For the onshore elements of the role, we welcome applicants seeking hybrid, remote, or other flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Office Responsibilities:
- Analyse historic datasets to support the optimal design of future seismic acquisition surveys.
- Support data management activities, including the handling, recording, and tracking of incoming and outgoing data.
- Communicate with clients professionally and proactively.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor Seismic Acquisition Analysts.
- Contribute to product development efforts by working closely with internal development teams.
- Field Responsibilities:
- Monitor acquisition performance to ensure operational efficiency and data quality.
- Develop and deliver operational acquisition plans based on the latest analysis and project requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical or operational issues, implement solutions, and provide timely reporting.
- Collaborate with development teams by providing operational feedback to support product design and improvement.
- Liaise with clients as needed to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A mathematical, science or GIS degree, or relevant work experience in the seismic industry.
- 2+ years professional experience in the seismic industry.
Preferred:
- Ability to learn.
- Strong analytical and numerate skills.
- Effective problem solving and reporting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Ability to cope with variable periods away from home, sometimes in challenging environments (for role including offshore work).
